Valmet Automotive’s fresh EV battery factory in Finland kicks off manufacturing


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Sep. 14 Valmet Automotive declared that it has launched a fresh battery factory in Uusikaupunki, southwestern Finland.

The company hosted an opening event for the fresh factory on Tuesday, with Finland’s Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintila present at the event. According to the Finnish car and battery maker, manufacturing of high-voltage automotive battery modules and battery packs has started at the fresh factory.

As a key investment in the business of EV (electric vehicle) systems by Valmet Automotive, the fresh establishment cost 120 million euros (USD141.88) and is projected to generate hundreds of fresh employment opportunities in the country.

The battery factory places in the very building as the Uusikaupunki car factory, which provides manufacturing services and logistic optimization to car service suppliers.
