Somalia: Suicide vehicle bombing leaves 7 dead


(MENAFN) The police and witnesses stated that on Tuesday night, Sep. 14 over seven persons lost their lives and another 10 were wounded in a suicide vehicle bombing in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu's Wadajir district.

A suicide bomber covered in an explosive vest exploded himself at a tea restaurant in Mogadishu, leaving both citizens and Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers dead, according to the police officer.

A police officer who refused to be acknowledged stated: "a suicide bomber walked into a teashop and detonated his explosive vest, killing seven people and leaving 10 others injured."

Witnesses noted plumes of black smoke could be observed rising from a locale between Halane military camp and General Dhegabadan military academy in the southern Wadajir region.
