Russian President, Pakistan's PM discuss evolving situation in Afghanistan

(MENAFN) Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan and Russian President Vladimir Putin talked about the growing situation in Afghanistan.

Both leaders talked in a phone call for the second time since the Taliban took over the Afghan capital Kabul.

The conversation came after the successive assemblies of the special representatives, foreign ministers, and intelligence heads of Afghanistan's neighboring countries, including Pakistan and Russia, over the past two weeks.

The intelligence heads of the eight countries gathered in Islamabad to tackle the Afghanistan situation.
