PM, Palestinian agriculture minister discuss cooperation


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sep. 15 (Petra) -- Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Wednesday discussed with Palestinian Minister of Agriculture, Riyad Al-Atari, means to further enhance promoting and investing in the Jordanian-Palestinian agricultural projects.
During the meeting, held in presence of Agriculture Minister Khaled Al-Hanaifat, the PM pointed out Jordan's keenness to boost joint cooperation, presented in the recently established Jordanian-Palestinian company for marketing agricultural products, which aims at promoting the agricultural sector and supporting the competitiveness of farmers of both countries.
Khasawneh reiterated the Kingdom's position, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, that supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital on the basis of the two-state solution.
The Palestinian official expressed appreciation for Jordan's steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian cause and defending the rights of the Palestinian people.
He also stressed the importance of intensifying the work of the two countries' ministries to increase the flow of agricultural commodities, and work on further develop the agricultural sector.
