(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Sep. 14 Italy’s Export Credit Agency (SACE) stated that the country’s exports are projected to go back to pre-coronavirus levels this year, and surpass them during the coming three years.
SACE expect sales overseas to expand by 11.3 percent in 2021 on a yearly basis, showed a report examining the major trends of the key exporting industries. Such recovery would be mainly sustained by a "robust recovery" of international trade, and mostly led by the export of commodities.
It noted: "In our basic scenario -- the most likely one -- Italian exports of goods in value will grow by 11.3 this year, up from our previous forecasts, and more than offsetting what was lost in 2020."
"This recovery will allow Italy to keep its share in the global market unchanged in 2021 ... Our exports' dynamics will remain -- in the following three years as well -- more pronounced compared to pre-pandemic rates."
