Moderate weather forecast for three days

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sep. 15 (Petra) -- Moderate weather conditions are expected to prevail on Wednesday in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be hot, with low clouds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
In the evening, a weak chance for light spotty showers is forecast over the northern region, the JMD predicted, warning of the risk of slippery roads in the areas experiencing rain and of fog formation in the early morning hours over heights.
On Thursday, mercury levels will slightly drop, bringing relatively hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while it will remain fair in other regions, with cloudy skies, the department added, noting that there could be a chance for light showers of rain in limited ranges of the northern part of the country.
No significant change on the weather is forecast for Friday, the JMD further said.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Wednesday will range between 25 and 29 degrees Celsius. In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is forecast as mercury levels slide to 18C or even 12C in the southern highlands.
In the port city of Aqaba, daytime temperatures will stand at 38 degrees, while lows will slide to 25C at night.
