Turkish retail sales rate with constant prices increases in July


(MENAFN) According to official figures, Turkey’s retail sales rate with constant prices increased 12.3 percent annual in July.

Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) showed that non-food sales (except automotive fuel) increased 18.2 percent in the mentioned month, as automotive fuel and food-drinks-tobacco sales rose 8.1 percent and 5.2 percent.

All non-food indices increased 37.3 percent yearly including textile, clothing, and footwear, also computers, books, and telecommunications equipment increased 7.3 percent, electronic goods and furniture improved 1.1 percent, and medical goods and cosmetics rose 16.9 percent.

In addition, sales by mail order and the internet increased 46.1 percent annual in July.
