Shura Council participates in GCC meeting


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Shura Council participated in the 14th meeting of the Parliamentary and Foreign Relations Coordination Committee of Shura Councils, Council of Representatives and the National Assembly in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), headed by HE Secretary-General of the Council Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayareen and a number of the Council's employees, via video conferencing technology.

During the meeting, a number of common GCC issues were discussed in preparation for the next meeting of the heads of the GCC legislative councils, which will be held on Monday (September 27) via video conferencing technology.

The agenda of the Committee included, in addition to considering the draft agenda of the 15th regular meeting of Their Excellencies, the heads of the Shura Councils, Council of Representatives and the National Assembly, a report on the GCC-European Parliamentary Committee to enhance cooperation between the GCC and the European Parliament, a report on the GCC Parliamentary Committee with the parliaments of Latin American countries (GRULAC) and a discussion of the common GCC issues presented by the Committee to the periodic meeting of Their Excellencies, heads of GCC legislative councils to choose a topic from them to study.
