Turkish, Tajik presidents talk about Afghanistan

(MENAFN) According to Turkish Communications Directorate speech, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Emomali Rahmon talked about "bilateral relations and regional developments, particularly Afghanistan."

The call was after the Taliban created a temporary administration in Afghanistan that borders Tajikistan, in the wake of the group’s lighting control of Afghanistan in August.

The report also said “Congratulating the 30th anniversary of the brotherly Tajikistan’s independence, President Erdogan stated that Turkey would continue to stand by Tajikistan as one of the first countries to have recognized its independence.”
