Doha: Qatar Airways in a tweet reminded travellers that they must wear a face mask while the face shield is not mandatory for all.
Written in Arabic, the airlines stated that "Qatar Airways would like to remind passengers that they must wear a face covering such as a medical mask during their flights. We would also like to point out that wearing a face shield is not mandatory."
This follows a few posts on social media that erroneously said there was a new update for travel according to which face shield was mandatory.
The tweets further recommended travellers to bring their own set for a better fit.
