CAIRO, Sept 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwait on Tuesday said it was imperative to ramp up cooperation among Arab states in the face of existential challenges, highlighting that such a measure would help meet the aspirations of the region's people.
Amid pan-Arab talks in the Egyptian capital, Kuwait's permanent representative to the Arab League Ahmad Al-Bakr cited the Palestinian issue as the primary concern, saying the matter continues to take precedence over all other happenings in the region.
The talks will address a plethora of significant issues ranging from economic and political matters to social and financial ones, added the Kuwaiti diplomat, acknowledging the Arab bloc's contributions towards common goals.
He went on to urge "diligence" in efforts to bring the aspirations of Arabs to fruition, subsequently translating ambitions into success stories on the ground.
Arab diplomats attending the two-day talks will discuss a host of issues, including the region's ties with the international community and current developments in Arab countries. (end)
