Jordan condemns Houthi attack on Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sep. 5 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Sunday condemned the ongoing attempts by Yemen's Houthi group to target civilian areas in Saudi Arabia, the last of which was a ballistic missile fired at Jazan and Najran in the southern part of the country, leaving civilians injured and causing damage to a number of houses.
In a statement, Ministry spokesman Haitham Abu Al-Foul affirmed Jordan's strong condemnation and denunciation of this "cowardly terrorist act" and the targeting of innocent civilians, which is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
He also stressed that Jordan fully stands by Saudi Arabia in the face of any threat to its security, saying that the security of the two kingdoms is one and is inseparable.
