Jordan denounces repeated Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday condemned the repeated attacks by the Houthi militia on Saudi Arabia, targeting civilian areas with ballistic missiles and armed drones. The latest Houthi attack targeted Abha International Airport, which resulted in a number of injuries among civilians.

The Foreign Ministry, in a statement, affirmed the Kingdom's strong denunciation of these“cowardly” terrorist acts, and the targeting of innocent civilians, which is contrary to all religious and humanitarian values.

Such attacks aim to destabilise security and stability, and constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, the ministry stressed. The Foreign Ministry reiterated Jordan's supportive stance towards Saudi Arabia in the face of any threats.

The ministry highlighted that the security of the two kingdoms is intertwined and that any threat to the security of Saudi Arabia is a threat to the security and stability of the entire region. The ministry wished the injured a speedy recovery.
