KABUL: UNICEF says that 69 Afghan children have been evacuated abroad without their parents.

UNICEF Afghanistan representative HervéLudovic De Lys said the exact number of these children is difficult to be examined.

He said efforts are underway to integrate the evacuated children with their parents.

He said that they received information about these evacuees from different countries and they are making efforts to keep these children safe.

American officials said that 34 youth have reached the US by themselves.

The US ministry of humanitarian and health services said these children will be recommended to the refugee department to provide them necessary facilities.

In mid-August, The U.S. started evacuation of its citizens and Afghan local allies, who worked with the foreign embassies and missions during the past 20 years.
