Houthi militias carry out second attack on Abha airport

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- The Saudi-led Arab Coalition in Support of the Legitimate Government in Yemen intercepted another booby-trapped drone attack by the Houthi militias targeting Abha city's airport south of Saudi Arabia.
A statement by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on twitter revealed that eight persons working for different companies at the airport were injured by fragments of the downed drone, scattered in the area of the airport.
The interception caused damage to one civilian aircraft, shattered some windows at the airport, and caused damage to some ground support equipment in the airport yard, the statement added.
Earlier on Tuesday, Houthi militias attacked Abha Airport with another drone. No causalities reported.
The Arab coalition condemned the terrorist attempt, deeming it a war crime. (pickup previous)
