Saudi non-oil exports rise by 52 pct - report


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Aug 26 (KUNA) -- The Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) revealed Wednesday that the country's non-oil exports have risen in the second quarter of 2021 by 52 percent while oil exports have increased by 126.1 percent compared with the corresponding period of last year.
The GASTAT noted that merchandise exports had increased by 99.4 percent during the same period.
As for imports, a 12.9 percent increase was recorded valued at SR 140.9 billion (USD 37 billion).
The GASTAT named China as the main trading partner for the Kingdom during the same period, with SR 46.4 billion (USD 12.373 billion) in export value of 19.4 percent of total exports, while imports hit SR 25.7 billion (USD 6.853 billion). (end)
