Egypt, Sierra Leone FMs talk about anti-terror in Sahel

(MENAFN) Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his counterpart of Sierra Leone David Francis discussed on Tuesday means of intensifying efforts to combat terrorist organizations and organized crime groups in the Sahel, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

"The two ministers focused on means to strengthen relations and other issues of mutual concern, as well as trade exchange," said the statement.

Shoukry stressed that cooperation should cover reconstruction and post-conflict development endeavors.

The statement noted that Egypt had granted Sierra Leone aid, medicine, and medical equipment to support the healthcare sector in the country.
