(MENAFN) Ukrinform said in a report, naming the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, that starting August 4, the country’s exports of grain and leguminous crops in the 2021/2022 marketing year (MY, started on July 1, 2021) hit 3.281 million tonnes, which is 42,000 tonnes more than in the very period last in the past MY.
Particularly, in the period between July 1 and August 4, 2021, the country exported 1.046 million tonnes of wheat (- 623,000 tonnes in comparison with the relevant period in the past MY), 1.235 million tonnes of barley (+170,000 tonnes), 4,800 tonnes of rye (+4,600 tonnes), 983,000 tonnes of corn (+485,000 tonnes).
Furthermore, during the reporting period, the country exported 13,000 tonnes of flour (-8,800 tonnes).
As said in the report, in 2020/2021 MY, the nation exported 44.72 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, comprising of 16.64 million tonnes of wheat, 4.23 million tonnes of barley, 18.4 thousand tonnes of rye, and 23.08 million tonnes of corn.
