Germany representative utters pleasure for ties with Turkey

(MENAFN) Germany's representative uttered that he is "pleased" that mutual ties between Turkey and Germany are "extremely close and trusting."

Journalists quoted what Jurgen Schulz said in the Turkish capital Ankara "Our political relations are extremely close at all levels of government and covering also non-governmental organizations."

The representative expressed his "heartfelt condolences" to the victims due to the forest blazes are happening in southern Turkey in the previous days.

He also stated that Germany feels "very much with the people of Turkey," because of the latest catastrophic overflows that are hitting western Germany and Belgium, causing fatalities of more than 180 people.

Moreover, reporters mentioned the representative’s saying "This was a big catastrophe in our own country. And as we are in the process of dealing with the aftermath of this catastrophe, we feel very much with the people of Turkey who are now in the midst of another catastrophe here in your country. And we wish everybody well."
