Turkish leader shows gratitude to countries for combating forest fires


(MENAFN) The Turkish leader on Tuesday, August 4, expressed gratitude to the countries that have backed Turkey's combat against fires that have been going for about a week.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan wrote on Twitter “I thank on my nation’s behalf all the friendly countries and organizations that have extended their support, sent wishes and condolences, voiced their readiness to help, and provided aid in our fight against the forest fires”.

He also added that “We will Inshallah overcome these difficult times as soon as possible”.
The picture he shared with the post comprises flags of 73 nations and 10 international organizations.

The Turkish president thanked Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Spanish Prime Minister Spain Pedro Sanchez, for offering full backing.
