Mongolia: Pupils to go back to classrooms

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Aug. 4 Mongolia’s Ministry of Education and Science stated that students of general educational schools, colleges and universities around Mongolia will go back to classrooms as the 2021-2022 academic year begins on Sept. 1.

According to a report by the ministry, general educational schools in locales categorized as high-risk for coronavirus will switch between classroom training and TV or online classes on a weekly basis.

The ministry said that only children of the ages between 4 and 5 are currently permitted to be admitted to kindergartens in the forthcoming academic year.

The ministry added that during the last two years, Mongolia’s educational institutions held over 30 percent of their classes in classrooms because of the coronavirus pandemic.
