(MENAFN- Active DMC) Dubai, UAE, 4 August 2021: Eaton announces the launch of the new RoundTech luminaire range and the CGLine+ Web compact controller to help make the installation and remote monitoring of emergency lighting convenient.
While the RoundTech range brings single solution simplicity to the global emergency lighting marketplace for any system using self-contained (SC) technology - from standalone variants through to monitored solutions. The new CGLine+ Web compact controller makes it easy to quickly check self-contained system status remotely – without using software or other tools – thanks to its 'at a glance' display.
RoundTech combines rapid installation with high performance and flexible eFocus (electronic focus) features that enable use in both escape routes and open areas. The range brings emergency lighting professionals greater choice when planning projects and installing them in diverse settings.

It can be installed far more quickly and efficiently using round, standard-sized cut-out tools than when square or rectangular units are specified. Engineered for any standard hole size between 64mm up to 78mm, RoundTech uses a 110mm diameter round bezel footprint to complete its flush, recessed look and complement the aesthetics of any round-shaped mains downlighting nearby."
A square bezel footprint is also available as a swappable accessory at time of order should the interior design and lighting look and feel require it. Designers requiring further customization to flexibly match aesthetics beyond the four standard RoundTech colorways of white, dark grey, silver and black will also be able to request from a full spectrum of colors for both round and square bezel footprints.
Ease of installation goes hand-in-hand with RoundTech's sector-beating performance delivered by a low-temperature light engine in a compact housing awarded an impressive IP65 rating. The range is available in different variants as well as in Low Bay options plus a High Bay version..
Building on Eaton's track record for innovation through products such as the dual-mounting exit signs, RoundTech's unique eFocus capabilities streamline product ordering through one order code, as well as make for easier on-site changes and fewer errors. Installers can quickly configure the multi-lens light engine using a simple dip-switch for narrow escape route or wide anti-panic open areas at time of fitting. In anti-panic mode under mains power, RoundTech also offers the option to dim from 100% to 70% or 30% to suit areas where lower lighting levels are preferable.
Eco-friendly LiFeP04 (Lithium Ion) batteries supplied across the range rather than environmentally damaging NiCad cells, plus detailed eco-footprint comparisons against previous luminaire lines, mean RoundTech also puts down a marker for sustainability.
On the other hand, the CGLine+ Web compact controller enables safe and cost-effective maintenance of emergency lighting systems in temporarily vacated premises be it an out-of-season hotel, a school closed over summer, an office empty overnight or longer – or any building undergoing change of use.
With the new controller building owner or facilities manager can run maintenance tests before, during and after building closure and mains power shutdown. And by enabling easy access to the Blocking function on CGLine+ luminaires, it prevents them turning on when mains power goes off. So, they not only avoid expensive damage and inconvenience should batteries remain full discharged for a long period, and save on wasted energy by unnecessarily charging them in an empty building.

The web controller allows owners and managers to save on unnecessary travel time (and cut your carbon footprint) by remotely checking system health status; schedule function and duration tests at a time that suits. And, should testing show that a luminaire replacement or other repair is needed, order the part in advance to minimize any time required on-site.
