Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha, Wa'hab distribute food items to local community in need

Doha: Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha, the first Hyatt Regency brand in Qatar, located on airport, have joined forces with Wa’hab for a collaborative campaign in conjunction with the hotel’s suppliers to donate essential food items the local communities in need. 

This campaign falls in line with Hyatt’s Global Month of Service which allows colleagues to volunteer events that help strengthen the value of care and sharing to the local community along with the hotel intentions to support underprivileged individuals and families in the country most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Founded in 2017, Wa’hab, is an Award-Winning SME, that works to reduce food wastage and provide support to the communities in Qatar. 

By connecting surplus food to those in need, Wa’hab aims to promote social solidarity and protect the environment.

This initiative was spearheaded by Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha with the support of its suppliers who keenly donated food essentials such as rice, flour, lentils, beans, canned food items and many more. All of the collected donations will be distributed to people impacted by COVID-19 and others needing assistance.

Julien Gonzalvez, Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha General Manager said,“I am very pleased to be partnering with Wa’hab on this worthy cause and to support their initiative to extend assistance to those who are in need.
