Sri Lanka tops 10 million score in receiving inoculations shots


(MENAFN) State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Channa Jayasumana stated that Sri Lanka has topped the 10 million score in delivering the first shots of the coronavirus inoculations from the time when the inoculation campaign started in January.

Jayasumana also added that the people whose age is above 30 years in Sri Lanka reached 11.5 million, and the 1.5 million would be delivered the inoculations in the nearest time.

Journalists mentioned what Jayasumana said "The target set by the President is to vaccinate all those who are above 30 years of age before the end of August. However, we are now confident that we have the potential to achieve this task even before the given time."

The journalist continued "As we have accelerated the vaccination drive in the country, we are hopeful that the individuals between 18 and 30 years old would also be vaccinated once the task set by the President is over."
