Nigeria: 3 killed in traffic accident in Ogun

(MENAFN) On Monday, Aug. 3 three persons lost their lives in a traffic accident in the Nigerian southwestern State of Ogun.

A truck filled with granite lost control because of over-speeding in the town of Ijebu Ode, crashing into a motorbike and hitting a residential building, Opeoluwa Adekoya, Ijebu Ode divisional commander of Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, said to reporters at the site.

Three dead bodies were recovered and have been sent to a hospital, noted Adekoya, without providing more details, but cautioning of careless driving and over-speeding.

Traffic accidents regularly take place in Nigeria mostly owing to poor road state, badly maintained cars and careless driving.
