The Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) has warned people to stay away from beaches and rivers as the passage of a new tropical wave, accompanied by a low-pressure system will cause rains nationwide until Tuesday, August 3.
This would be the 23rd tropical wave that affects the country with rains in different points and after the recent events that occurred in Bocas del Toro, Coclé, and Veraguas, the alert to people in vulnerable areas to take precautionary measures is reiterated.
The director of Sinaproc, Carlos Rumbo, has recommended that people avoid visiting rivers and beaches and not cross streams because they could be surprised by a head of water.
