43,823 expired products destroyed


(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) The Consumer Protection Authority (Acodeco) found 43,823 expired products in Panama stores during inspections from January to June 2021.  The products were withdrawn from sale and subsequently destroyed.

Expired products represent 90.5% of the anomalies in the shops visited.

The total of the fouls was 48,435. In addition to expired products, 2,239 were detected with no expiration date; 1,272 shortfalls in sight prices; 675 spoiled foods, 300 unclear dates on products.
