Qatar University (QU) ranks second in the Times Higher Education (THE) Arab University Rankings - 2021 edition.
The Arab University Rankings is a new region-specific ranking, inaugurated this year, which enables universities in the region to benchmark their performance among other universities in the Arab higher education landscape.
QU President Dr. Hassan Al-Derham commented saying,“It is a great privilege to be ranked second among our peers in the MENA region. Qatar University has made great strides in recent years, particularly in certain areas such as collaboration and research, which have reflected in the quality of our academic programs and graduates. The University’s continuous strong presence in such rankings further cements our leading status in the region.”
Overall, 125 universities across 14 countries in the Middle East and North Africa are ranked. The top-ranked university is King Abdulaziz University, in Saudi Arabia.
