Afghanistan's HM labels China as main partner in battling pandemic


(MENAFN) Wahid Majroh, Afghanistan's acting Public Health Minister has labeled China as a main partner in Afghanistan's battle against global pandemic, and showed appreciation Beijing for its big support.

Xinhua mentioned what Majroh said in an interview "China has been one of our most effective partners when especially it comes to health service delivery," "The cooperation goes beyond coronavirus during the pandemic, China supported us in different aspects."

He continued "On the first days of the fight against COVID-19, China provided us ventilators, face masks and sanitizers, even during the days when they themselves were in need of these resources."

Majroh added "We thank China for its support, which continued with the donation of ... vaccines," which is of great assistance for Afghanistan's inoculation campaign and a friendship mark between both countries.

Moreover, he said while talking about the coronavirus origin tracing "We really appreciate openness and transparency ... China has elaborated."

Majroh declared "It is very difficult to make a judgment on the origin of the pandemic," and solid sign about origins should be composed "in different geographies and different institutions."
