Count of COVID-19 vaccine doses given worldwide stands at 4.1B


(MENAFN) Our World In Data, a tracking website affiliated with Oxford University showed that the count of COVID-19 vaccine shots managed worldwide amounted at 4.1 billion as of Saturday.

The available data released that China took first place globally with over 1.64 billion vaccine jabs given across the country. India follows it with more than 461.52 million jabs.

The list remains with mostly Western countries, with the US having managed over 344.93 million shots, Brazil 140.17 million, Germany 92.05 million, the UK 84.74 million, and Japan 84.01 million.

Turkey gave at least 73.03 million vaccine shots, taking eighth place worldwide, as almost 41 million people took one jab.
