Chinese lottery sales surpass 34 bln Yuan during June


(MENAFN) Figures from Chinese Ministry of Finance demonstrated that the country’s lottery sales stood at 34.61 billion yuan (around USD5.36 billion) during June, surging by about USD160 million from the very period of 2020.

The ministry noted that sales of welfare lottery tickets came to around USD1,73 billion during June, whereas sports lottery sales reached almost USD3,61 billion.

During the first half of the year, lottery sales stood at almost USD27,61 billion, involving around USD10,47 billion of welfare lottery sales and about USD17,13 billion of sports lottery sales.

Under the country’s lottery management regulations, money from ticket sales is utilized for administrative costs, public welfare ventures and prize winnings.
