Qatar Airways named world's best airline

(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Doha : Qatar Airways has been named the best airline in the world, according to a new list from airlineratings.com.
Other UAE carriers Emirates ranked fifth in the list while Etihad Airways came out in 20th place.
The list took into account airlines that have a seven-star safety rating and demonstrate leadership in innovation for passenger comfort. The airline must also offer a consistent level of service, innovation, and staff engagement.
Qatar Airways came first thanks to its cabin innovation, passenger service, and its dedication and commitment to continue to operate throughout the Covid pandemic.
The website said the airline has a host of industry firsts, including completing IATA's IOSA safety audit, being fully Covid audited and being among the first to trial IATA's Travel Pass.
Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive, Qatar Airways Group, "Over the past 16 months, the aviation industry has witnessed some of its darkest days, but Qatar Airways has continued to operate and stand by our passengers despite many other airlines halting operations due the pandemic."

Emirates climbed to fifth spot thanks to its new premium economy class, which is being hailed as one of the best in the industry.
