Tibet’s GDP witnesses rise of 9.1 percent in 1st H


(MENAFN)According to local authorities, the gross domestic product (GDP) in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region summed 92.61 billion yuan (about USD14.3 billion) in the first six months of the year to surge 9.1 percent yearly.

The regional statistics department stated that Tibet’s average yearly GDP expansion for the previous two years reached 7.1 percent by the end of last month regardless of the global pandemic effect.

In the same mentioned period, the value-added produce of major industrial firms in Tibet rose 21.1 percent on annual, increasing 24.2 percent from the first six months of 2019.

Also, in the first half of 2019, its fixed asset investment soared 16.6 percent.

Tibet witnessed robust use request, with its retail sales of customer products jumping by 13 percent to reach 34.63 billion yuan on annual basis.
