(MENAFN) Statistics Canada revealed on Friday, July 30 that Canada's industrial product price index (IPPI) was unaffected last month while the raw materials price index (RMPI) augmented 3.9 percent.
Canada's industrial product price index (IPPI) was unaffected month over month last month of this year but it increased 16.8 percent compared with June of last year.
Though the top-level index was even, 15 of the 21 main subcomponent groups augmented, five dropped, and one was unaffected.
The main pressure on the IPPI in June was the drop in lumber and other wood goods which dropped 6.8 percent. If lumber and other wood goods were eliminated from the calculation, the IPPI would have increased 0.6 percent.
