Hot to scorching weather to grip Jordan to Tuesday-JMD


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, July 31 (Petra)- A slight rise in mercury is forecast on Saturday, and the weather will be relatively hot in the highlands and the plains, while it will be blistering in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily update.
In its report, the JMD warns of the danger of direct exposure to the sun at noon in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, and the possibility of low horizontal visibility occasionally due to dust in the Badia regions.
On Sunday, similar weather prevails countrywide with northwesterly moderate winds.
Regarding Monday, the Kingdom is affected by a hot and dry heatwave and a slight rise in temperature is forecast to record 3-4 Celsius degrees above seasonal average, according to the JMD.
Also on Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman will range between 35Celsius degrees, dipping to 24C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a searing 41C, dropping to 29C during night hours.
