LG Display Company witnesses incomes increase in 2nd Q


(MENAFN)In line with the LG Display company, which is one of the big South Korean display panel producers, witnessed positive incomes in the April-June period because of a higher worth for liquid crystal display (LCD) panels and a strong sale of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED).

In the second quarter, operating income reached 701.1 billion won (USD606.5 million), following a log of an operating defeat of 517 billion won (USD447.3 million) in 2020.

Also, in the three quarters ending June 30, income increased 31.3 percent in the year to 6.97 trillion won (USD6 billion), to note the highest April-June period income in LG Display’s past.

Moreover, in the same mentioned period, net revenue stood at 423.8 billion won (USD366.6 million), managing the black from a net deficit of 503.8 billion won (USD435.9 million) registered in the second quarter of 2020.
