Malaysia: Increase 27.2 pct seen in June exports with all-time high export to China


(MENAFN) Last month, the Malaysian exports soared 27.2 percent hitting 105.47 billion ringgit (around USD24.93 billion) from a year ago as exports to China jumped to all-time high.

The export expansion was boosted by robust demand for petroleum produce, electrical and electronic (E&E) products, mostly electronic integrated circuits utilized in the making of smartphones, vehicle, computers and home appliances along with rubber produce, the country’s International Trade and Industry Ministry stated in a report.

It further said that exports to all key markets that is to say ASEAN, China, the United States, the European Union and Japan registered double-digit growth.

The country’s trade with China soared 30.5 percent annually to about USD8,94 billion, making up for 20.1 percent of the country’s overall trade.

In the meantime, the country’s trade grew by 29.3 percent annually to around USD44,54 billion last month.
