(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs George Kent, who heads the U.S. diplomatic mission in Ukraine during the vacation of Chargé d'Affaires Kristina Kvien, will complete his two-week visit to Kyiv on Wednesday, July 28.
The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine reported this on Twitter.
"On his last full day in Kyiv, Chargé Kent met with Sevgil Musaieva, Chief Editor of Ukrainska Pravda, to discuss the Ukrainian media environment five years after the murder of Pavel Sheremet," the report reads.
The U.S. diplomat added that free and independent media plays a critical role in any democracy.
