(MENAFN) Media states quoting government sources that the British government is looking for methods to bar China’s state-owned nuclear energy firm from future power plants in the UK.
The act could witness China General Nuclear (CGN) kicked out of a French-Chinese group which is aiming to construct the £20 billion (USD27.6 billion) Sizewell C nuclear power plant on the Suffolk shoreline and another one in Bradwell-on-Sea in Essex.
Unidentified sources have affirmed a new statement by the Financial Times that first brought to light the UK government’s stance on China’s contribution in the plans, according to both Bloomberg and the Independent.
