Israeli armed forces affirm raids on Hamas base in Gaza


(MENAFN)Israel's military affirmed on Sunday, July 25 that it hit a military base of the Islamic Resistence Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip, hours after inflammable balloons were sent into southern Israel.

An Israeli forces spokesperson revealed in a report that Israeli war planes hit a Hamas base which held "infrastructure and means used for terror activity."

The spokesperson stated that the base was placed close to civilian sites, counting a school.

The report stated that "The strikes were made in response to the arson balloons fired toward Israeli territory".

Israel's Fire Department revealed in a report that the balloons, which were connected with inflammable materials, sparked three fires in southern Israel, producing no harm.
