Earthquake with scale of 5.1 hit Shimokita district in Japan


(MENAFN)The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) stated that an earthquake with a scale of 5.1 hit Shimokita district in Japan's Aomori Prefecture on Monday.

At around 11:16 AM local time, the earthquake happened, by its epicenter at latitude of 41.4 degrees north and a longitude of 142.1 degrees east, and at a deepness of 70 km.

Moreover, it recorded 4 on the Japanese seismic strength gauge that tops at 7, and no tsunami cautionary has been published till now.
