Iran to operate 6 major projects by end of current Iranian year


(MENAFN)Six major projects are going to be operated in this sector by the end of this Iranian year, according to the managing director of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC).

These projects are to materialize the second leap of petrochemical industry, stated Behzad Mohammadi.

He also declared that in 2020, 17 petrochemical projects were operated, and out of the remaining 11 projects from the second leap basket of the petrochemical industry, six projects are going to be operated in the current year and five projects in the first half of 2022.

There are also 39 active projects in the third leap that are going to be operated by the Iranian year 1404 (2026), and with their operation, the country’s petrochemical production capacity will stand at 137 million tons and the revenues of the petrochemical industry will reach USD35 billion.
