(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou awarded the Order of the Phoenix to Qatar's ambassador to Greece Abdulaziz Ali al-Naama in Athens Tuesday at the end of his tenure.
The Order of the Phoenix is one of the highest honour bestowed by the Greek presidency to heads of friendly diplomatic missions. Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias bestowed the Order upon the ambassador during a meeting at the headquarters of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, the Greek foreign minister stressed that awarding this high order to the ambassador was in appreciation of his efforts in strengthening relations between Qatar and Greece in all fields.
