Gulf Air's Bangladesh Country Manager Ghuloom bids adieu


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka : Hussain Ghuloom, Country Manager - Bangladesh of Gulf Air, who successfully led the relaunch of the Gulf airline in Bangladesh in 2016, said goodbye to the airline and Bangladesh as he went into retirement on July 14. 
He received farewell by the airline officials and industry elites through a ceremony held at The Westin Dhaka.  
The extraordinary aviation expert joined Gulf Air in March 1992 as a cabin crew. Over the years, through several promotions, he successfully worked at Bahrain Airport as well as Bagdad Airport in different departments in various capacities.  
In April 2010, Ghuloom was transferred to Bangladesh as a Station Manager. After completion of two and a half years of successful journey in Bangla-desh, he was again transferred to Erbil, Iraq, Kurdistan. With that, Gulf Air suspended its operations in Bangladesh due to some issues. 
In 2013, Ghuloom was appointed as the Country Manager - Iraq of the Gulf Airline managing Bagdad, Najaf, Basra and Erbil. He came back to Iran as a Country Manager, looking after all the stations of Iran. 
Finally, in April 2016, Ghuloom rejoined Bangladesh as the Country Manger and continued serving the airline and the industry with his unparalleled expertise till 2021.
Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor of The Bangladesh Monitor; Shifa Qadeer, Managing Director, of Gulf Air's GSA Bangladesh; and other officials of the airline attended the farewell ceremony.
