KUWAIT, July 4 (KUNA) -- A number of countries across the globe on Sunday declared their deaths, infections and recoveries of the coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours.
In Lebanon, health officials reported two deaths and 207 new infections in the past 24 hours.
A statement by Lebanon health ministry said the death toll from the virus was up to 7,861 people and total infections now stands at 545,570 cases.
On another front, Tunisia reported 116 deaths and 4,686 new infections in the past 24 hours.
Tunisia health officials said, in a statement, the death toll from the virus reached 15,377 people and total infections 443,631 cases.
In Morocco, health officials reported four fatalities due to Covid-19, and 605 new infections in the past 24 hours.
In a press release, the Moroccan health ministry said the death toll reached 9,319 and total infections 534,550 cases.
In the United Kingdom, health officials reported 15 fatalities and 24,238 new infections from Covid-19.
In a statement, UK health ministry said the death toll from the virus jumped to 128,222 people and infection toll reached four million and 908,000 cases.
In Algeria, health officials reported 10 deaths and 464 infections from the virus.
A spokesman for the Algerian health ministry said the death toll in the country reached 3,755 and total infections up to 141,471 cases.
Meanwhile, in Italy health officials confirmed 12 fatalities from Covid-19 and 808 new infections.
Italian health ministry said, in a statement, that the death toll was up to 127,649 people and infections up to 4,263,317 cases. (Pickup previous)
