Iran launches 24 major water, electricity industry projects


(MENAFN)Reza Ardakanian, Iranian Energy Minister launched 24 major water and electricity industry projects worth 9.028 trillion rials (about USD214.9 million) via a virtual meeting in eight provinces.

The mentioned projects were launched in Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Ardebil, Kerman, East Azarbaijan, Fars, and Mazandaran provinces, operated in the 12th week of the ministry’s A-B-Iran program in the current Iranian year.

Nine of the stated projects including three solar power plants and six projects for the improvement of electricity transmission network valued at 1.59 trillion rials (about USD37.8 million) were operated in Khuzestan province, stated the Energy Ministry portal Paven.

Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad province also launched four electricity transmission projects worth 1.5 trillion rials (about USD35.9 million) , as four other electricity network development projects valued at 850 billion rials (about USD22 million) went operational in Bushehr province.
