Beijing foreign trade total stood at USD177.9B in January-May


(MENAFN)Custom data issued that Beijing foreign trade total reached 1.15 trillion yuan (about USD177.9 billion) in the January-May 2021 period.

Beijing Customs said that the number indicates a rise of 21.8 percent in comparison with the first five months in 2020.

Moreover, Beijing's imports jumped 24.6 percent to 920.15 billion yuan during the same mentioned period in 2021, and exports stood at 234.63 billion yuan, increasing 12.2 percent on an annual basis.

In addition, crude oil, automobiles and agricultural products were the main commodities driving import expansion, and the total import price of the three commodities jumped separately 13 percent, 74.8 percent and 62.2 percent in the first five months.
