Brazil and Palestine to discuss partnership opportunities in ABCC webinar

(MENAFN- Mid-East.Info) The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) will be hosting a virtual webinar on June 23, wherein government authorities from Brazil and Palestine will explore their first-ever potential partnership centered on food and health industries. The discussion will also cover various opportunities including ways to facilitate the growth of exports and develop special travel packages to Palestine.

Osmar Chohfi, President of ABCC, will formally open the virtual event, along with Manal Dasouqi, Deputy Assistant for Trade and Industry and Consumer Protection at the Palestinian Ministry of Economy.

An overview of trade relations between the two countries will be presented by Haytham Wahidi, CEO of Palestinian Investment Promotion and Industrials Estates Agency (PIPA). He will be joined by Chohfi and other representatives including Alessandro Candeas, Brazilian Ambassador to Palestine; and Ibrahim Alzeben, Palestinian Ambassador to Brazil and Dean of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Brazil.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Osmar Chohfi, President of Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, said: ''We at ABCC are committed to helping establish fruitful relations between Palestine and Brazil, with a current focus on the health and food industries. Improving our trading relations is one of our current agenda, as we are looking to increase the growth of exports from Palestine to Brazil. We are also looking forward to fostering the cultural and social engagement between the two states and boosting the tourism industry; in fact, we are encouraging Brazilian travel companies to offer exclusive travel packages to Palestine. This is only the beginning of a long and productive partnership, and we are excited to seek more growth opportunities in other sectors as well.''

The webinar is also open for other interested communities including Arab House, an institution dedicated to establishing relations between Arabs and Brazil, to witness how the two governments will establish strategic ties with each other. Active women groups such as the ABCC Women's Committee and the Women Who Inspire (WAHI) are also invited to participate in the event.
