Thailand receives Chinese Sinopharm coronavirus vaccines

(MENAFN)A consignment of China's Sinopharm coronavirus vaccines landed in the Thai capital of Bangkok on Sunday, June 20, growing support to the Southeast Asian country's fight against its worst wave of outburst up to now.

The academy stated in a post on its official Facebook account that the consignment, imported by the Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA), was transported to the Department of Medical Science for quality check after the arrival.

The CRA declared on Saturday, June 19, that 17,070 organizations and firms countrywide had posted to get the Sinopharm vaccine to immunize their workers.

The vaccines were considered as an option to the mass vaccination plan started by the government on June 7, which has been continued so far mostly with China's Sinovac vaccines and locally-manufactured AstraZeneca vaccines.
