Egyptian FM meets Libyan counterpart to deliberate Libyan roadmap improvements


(MENAFN)On Saturday, Sameh Shoukry, Egyptian Foreign Minister, arranged meetings in Cairo with Najla al-Mangoush, his Libyan counterpart to discuss recent improvements of the Libyan roadmap for a political constancy.

A mutual press conference quoted what Shoukry said after the meetings "I assert Egypt's support for the interim executive authority represented in Libyan presidential council and the national unity government in performing their tasks during the transitional stage."

The importance of returning safety, constancy, power and unity of the Libyan territories and "implementing all the stages of the roadmap for the political solution resulting from the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum," was emphasized by Egyptian top diplomat.

He also added that Egypt is awaiting the Libyan general elections arranged in 24th of December and the exclusion of all foreign armies and soldiers from Libya "without procrastination."
